Уже сегодня Индией совместно с Россией осуществляется ряд весьма важных проектов, среди которых, в частности, уже готовый к началу выпуска до конца года своей продукции завод по производству автоматов Калашникова АК-203, совместное предприятие Indo-Russian Rifles Private Limited, где с российской стороны участвуют «Рособоронэкспорт» и концерн «Калашников». На выставке представлено и другое совместное российско-индийское предприятие — BrahMos Aerospace, производящее сверхзвуковую крылатую ракету «Брамос», разработанную российским НПО машиностроения и индийской Организацией оборонных исследований и разработок.
В 2001 году уже состоялся первый испытательный пуск ее ракеты, а различные версии ракеты стоят сегодня на вооружении всех трех видов ВС Индии: ВВС, ВМС и сухопутных войск.
