Обновление Revit 2024: что нового?
These new tools are easier to use and increase accuracy and predictability when creating loads in Revit. Reinforcement Let us begin with the new features and updates with reinforcement. I will begin with the Bending Details which will be especially useful for non-standard rebar shapes. Here in the UK United Kingdom we only tend to detail non-standard shapes and only show these details in the bending schedule, but I know that other countries have a requirement for bending details on all rebar. Bending Details are created as true vector geometry and, as such, will update and change automatically if the host rebar is amended. Bending details can be placed in views by selecting the reinforcement bar and then selecting the Bending Detail command from the context ribbon. The detail can then be placed in a free location, or you can use the Align to Bar command to keep the detail orthogonal. The Bending Detail is driven by standard Revit Type properties and, as such, you can have multiple types that you can use in different situations.
The Bending Details also make use of Revit dimension styles so you will need to setup a couple of dimension styles to support the Bending Detail tools. You can also configure the amount of detail that is displayed within the bending detail. For example, you could simply show the segment length dimensions or recover all the dimensions and angles for each segment as well as hooks and linear dimensions. There are also a few options around the unfolding or offsetting of Bending Details. When you have shapes such as links that overlap it could be confusing when showing lengths and angles of the hooks. These 3 configurations are shown in the image below using a standard link. Currently, the Bending Details cannot be tagged but I am sure that Autodesk will add this functionality in future releases.
The bending details could also become a solution for certain detailing conventions such as tick and tag in sectional views and the display of bars in plan. Bending Details in Schedules The Bending Details can also be used in schedules which is especially useful for non-standard shape codes. It is worth noting that you will only see the shape once the schedule is placed onto a sheet. Again, in many other regions and countries, shape codes are always shown in the schedule regardless. In the example below, Bending Details are shown in the bending schedule with the new auto size option for rows with images. In the above image, the segment names are displayed to reduce the amount of space required but you can also configure the Bending Details specifically for use within schedules. Here in the UK, it would only be necessary to show the bending sketch for non-standard shapes so it would be useful to see a feature where you could control which shape codes use the new Bending Detail and display on the schedule.
Again, this is the first iteration, and I am sure we will see other additions to this new feature in future releases.
The main advantage will be the ability to cut away from the solid to create excavations such as basements and tunnels. Editing the toposolid will be similar to shape editing a floor or roof, with the toposolid having types that can include multiple layers and a variable thickness layer. For example, it could contain sub-soil, top-soil and turf, with the sub-soil thickness set to variable to give a constant thickness of top-soil and turf. The Cut Geometry tool can be used to cut the volume of overlapping objects away from the solid. This could be foundation objects, walls, or other families that contain voids. Void Forms created with In-place Mass families can also be used to cut the toposolid, allowing for some interesting shapes to be created for tunnels, and below ground structures such as basements, undercrofts, and parking garages. Voids in other families will also cut the toposolid, as long as the Cuts with Voids option has been enabled in the family. The sub-divide tool allows a toposolid to be divided by a sketch. The division can have a separate material applied and be given a height to project above the original which will be useful for defining paths and roads.
They are also able to host objects such as railings to help with landscape modelling. Existing functionality with toposurfaces, such as cut and fill, contour display and labelling, hosting site and parking components are all supported by the toposolid. If you have existing projects containing toposurfaces, they can be used to create a toposolid, simply select them and choose the Generate Toposolid tool on the ribbon. The existing surface will not be removed, so you can decide whether to keep it or delete it. Summary Revit 2024 has seen some good improvements to the workflows, along with quite a few suggestions from the public ideas forum. The Toposolid is a big improvement over the toposurface and will be appreciated by many different disciplines. Landscaping has always felt like it was left behind in Revit, this release has given it some much needed attention and is all the better for it.

The logic around the topography functions got a significant rearrange in Revit 2024 to transition from toposurfaces to toposolids. The toposolid is a solid element that has a type and basic parameters, and is eligible for Boolean operations such as cutting with Mass and In-place components. Users can create toposolid from selected toposurface that remains in the existing project, including the linked topography. Toposolids are created with a defined base level. Linked topography becomes toposolid as well. The building pad will be retired along with Toposrface. Aurodesk recommends using the mass void to thape the excavation form. Inside the mass editing mode, clock Cut, select the Cuttie with will be the Toposolid, then select the cutter wich will be the mass void excavation form. Users can make sloped sides for the excavations in adjusting the Mass Void shape. Floor-based families can be hosted on toposolid. For relatively flat toposolids, the users can place slab edges without editing the shape. Users can use the split element tool to split Toposolid based on the sketch freely. Revit will keep the annotations, such as spot elevation and dimension, affter the split. The larger split portion will inherit the original ElementID. Users can select the Toposolid element to create the subdivision by using the Sub-Divide button by following the steps: 1 - Sketch any shape to form the subdivision 2 - Set the desired material 3 - Edine the protrude thickness 4 - Inherit the countor line to help turn the display on the 2D planview documentation on and off. The icons for the massing and site are newly organized. The property line data has its own dialog and is no longer inside the site data. For legacy toposurface settings the dialog only shows the properties of the topo. Each toposolid type has its own settings. For instance if you want contours visible in terrain, but not on sidewalks or roads, now it is possible. Скорее это удобно, чем излишне. Обычно новички сталкиваются с проблемой, что трубу скрыли фильтром, а на 3Д-виде какая-то как будто труба осталась, выделить нельзя, непонятно, что это. Теперь такого не будет, скрыли основу — скрывается и изоляция.
Ориентация аннотаций воздухораспределителей В семейства воздухораспределителей добавили галочку «Сохранять ориентацию аннотаций». Ранее её добавляли в другие категории, теперь дело и до решёток дошло. Галочка позволяет отображать на плане вложенное семейство аннотаций, даже если воздухораспределитель установлен не параллельно уровню. В России им не пользуются, так что пригодится ли категория — непонятно. Кроме того, заметил ещё в 2023 Ревите категорию «Виброизоляторы», её видно только при создании параметра с типоразмером семейства, в других окнах не заметил. Та же ерунда с категорией «Обозначения подъемов и опусков».

It works more like a filter than a search in that as you type in the search box, the project browser shows all the entries of that search term only. I can see it being used a lot more, especially on big projects where there are potentially thousands of views, sheets, schedules, families listed in the project browser. Add Multiple views Rather than place views on to sheets one at a time, you can now select several views and place them on a sheet. This works via the drag and drop functionality from the project browser, just select the required views holding the CTRL key. You can select a mixture of model views, schedules, legends and drafting views, then drag them out onto a sheet. Alternatively, use the Add Views to Sheet tool from the View ribbon tab, select multiple views from the list and click the OK to place them on the Sheet. The multiple views are tiled initial placing, once placed they will need to be moved into locations to suit your sheet and desired layout.
