Among the special voyages are the Alaskan itineraries leaving from Seattle and Vancouver Canada during the Disney summer and the Panama Canal transition cruises on repositioning between Alaska and Caribbean. All Disney ships are family-friendly. Similar venue named "D Lounge" is on Fantasy and Dream. The main swimming pool areas on all Disney boats are geared toward families. There is a pool for kids with 200-ft Mickey waterslide and small sprinkler tub for toddlers. Adult-only pools are also fleetwide feature, though on the larger ships they encompass several decks. The AquaDuck water park Fantasy and Dream is one of the first-ever watercoasters on a cruise ship.

On each cruise liner are offered pre-scheduled daily character meetings, themed breakfasts, animation workshops, parades, firework shows. The ship nursery provides complimentary childcare for infants ages 12 weeks-3 years with toys and supervised fun activities.
Nurseries feature indoor porthole windows semi-transparent one-way mirrors allowing parents to peek without being seen. For a fee is available online pre-ordering of baby supplies via the brand partnership with "Babies Travel Lite". It is a supervised program for kids aged 3-7 yo split into age groups 3-4 and 5-7.

Disney Dream The Disney Dream cruise ship spends the first half of 2024 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida , continuing the string of Caribbean Cruises it had begun offering from there in November 2023. In May, the ship heads out on a Transatlantic voyage that positions it in Europe for the summer travel season. Following a Transatlantic voyage in late-October, the ship returns to Fort Lauderdale in November and offers Bahamian and Caribbean cruises for the remainder of the year.
From early 2024 through the end of September, the Fantasy primarily offers Caribbean cruises. Disney Magic The Disney Magic cruise ship rings in the new year in Galveston, Texas , continuing the series of Caribbean cruises it had begun a few weeks earlier. In February, it briefly relocates to New Orleans, Louisiana for a month of Caribbean cruises out of that port before returning to Galveston in March.
